KENTIA-RH.COM is recruiting a Country Director for one of its clients, a large-scale organization that has been active in Madagascar for 30 years.

The organization empowers women and families by providing reproductive health services, including modern contraception, maternal and child health, cervical cancer screening, and STI testing.

Responsibilities / Key Duties

The Country Director for Madagascar is responsible for enhancing outcomes for women and families by leading family planning and sexual and reproductive health initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
  • Inspire and unify teams, provide strategic direction, support talent development, and ensure legal compliance while representing the organization to stakeholders.
  • Develop strategies for sustainable growth and create a marketing strategy to boost brand visibility and income through innovative financing and grants.
  • Build strong partnerships with government, health professionals, and donors, and collaborate with the London-based team to develop impactful business proposals.
  • Drive revenue growth by optimizing income from various sources, ensure strong financial management, and maintain compliance with regulations.
  • Provide comprehensive briefings on context, risks, and security for team members and visitors.
  • Adhere to partnership guidelines and actively engage in regional and international meetings.

Required profile

  • Holder of a Master's degree (Master II) in Public Health, Management and Administration, or in other related fields.
  • Over 7 years of experience in health program management or in a similar field.
  • Possessing a solid understanding of reproductive health and family planning issues, with experience in the implementation of health services in an international context.
  • Has received training in reproductive health in collaboration with international partners or local NGOs.

Job reequierements

  • Empathy for the development sector, with an understanding of cultural differences.
  • Expertise in budget formulation and monitoring, with knowledge of donor policies and reproductive health care issues.
  • Highly skilled in diplomatic networking and effective negotiation.
